On yesterday, 20.09.2021, units of the Maritime Search and Rescue Service - Storm, R-3, R-20 and the Shore Rescue Station from Władysławowo - conducted a search from 19:10 together with a Navy helicopter in the waters of the Gulf of Gdansk and Puck Bay, first for one and from 19:39 for two kitesurfers. Both of the missing were found safe and sound ashore.
Today, 21.09.2021 at 08:45, operations inspectors at the Maritime Rescue Coordination Center received radio information from the Horizon Geodiscovery unit, located 20.5 Mm north of Leba, about a sailor - a crew member - with a suspected stroke. The Navy's rotorcraft and the rescue ship Hurricane were dispatched to evacuate the casualty. The sailor was picked up by the crew of the rescue helicopter and transported to the hospital.
After returning to base locations, the units renewed their rescue readiness.
